Good place with free wi-fi, a cozy bar, great restaurant, and dog-friendly policies. The staff once helped me find my lost ID card, which I appreciated. I recommend the local hiking trails. I'm coming back for Christmas!

Cereals and pastries were fabulous and overall there was lots of food. The staff we met was pleasant and exceptional. Location: the hotel was really close to a large, lovely garden, Dartmoor and the restaurant. Plus it was max 35 mins walk to the lake.

beautiful inn with minor room for improvement
The inn boasts a fine garden that provides a serene atmosphere for relaxation. The warm welcome from Simon and his team set a positive tone for our stay.
Despite the beautiful setting, the room could benefit from a few cosmetic upgrades.

We hiked the picturesque Dartmoor walk, and the local beers are a must-try. The cozy vibe and friendly staff. Just a heads up, the dinner was average-not the highlight, but breakfast was great.

Scenic spot for hiking and great selection of local ales. Meal was overpriced for what we got. Cozy atmosphere in the common areas.

We had an exceptional stay, with a superb Sunday roast and cozy, spacious accommodations. The historic ambiance added charm, though the dining area was busier than expected.

Charming, Charming, Charming
The cozy thatched roof and exposed beams. I enjoyed a delicious, locally sourced breakfast hamper-such a good twist on the usual fare. Plus, the dog-friendly environment allowed us to bring our furry friend along for the adventure 🐕❤️
